Why Walk? Grab Your Bike!

The weather is finally starting to warm up, so that means you can start to take advantage of the nice trail near Parkwood Manor Apartments!
If you’re riding your bike, always remember a helmet- here are some tips for a safe helmet:
-Check to make sure it has a sticker inside certifying that it meets the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s standard.
-Be sure it sits level on your head, touches your head all around and fits snug but not tight.
-Choose a helmet that is round and smooth on the outside with no sharp ribs, snag points or excessive vents. Also, select bright colors so motorists can see it.

When riding, always:
-Go With the Traffic Flow. Ride on the right in the same direction as other vehicles.
-Obey All Traffic Laws. A bicycle is a vehicle and you’re a driver.
-Yield to Traffic When Appropriate.
-Be Predictable.
-Stay Alert at All Times.
-Look Before Turning.
-Watch for Parked Cars.
