Upcoming Omaha-Area Easter Egg Hunts ~ Easter 2014

There are so many Easter Egg hunts this year we thought we should let everyone know where and when:  Enjoy!!

Oak Heights Park, 10205 U St. New Creation Church hosts an Easter block party from 10 a.m. to noon. There will be food, games and an Easter egg hunt. Information: andrew@reallifechange.net.

Turner Park, 30th and Farnam Streets. Midtown Crossing and Three Dog Bakery will host an Easter Begg Hunt for dogs. Registration is $5 per dog. The hunt for treat-filled “beggs” will begin at 1 p.m., but pups should arrive by 12:45 p.m. There also will be a doggie fashion show with prizes for best dressed, best group and most interesting outfit. Bass Pro Shops, 2901 Bass Pro Drive, Council Bluffs. Easter activities include the 2 p.m. egg hunt. Bass Pro will also host hunts on April 13, 19 and 20. Each child will find five eggs hidden throughout the store and bring them back to the registration table.

Roberts Park, 1000 N. 25th St., Council Bluffs. City Parks and Recreation, 10 a.m.

Maple Street YMCA, 7502 Maple St., 10 to 11:30 a.m. Admission: Free for members; $5 for nonmembers.

Hanscom Park, 3201 Woolworth Ave. Hanscom Park Neighborhood Association, 11 a.m.

Rambleridge Park, 114th and Fort Streets. Party Pals of Omaha, 10:30 a.m.

Halleck Park, 816 E. Halleck St., Papillion. 1 to 3 p.m. for children 12 and younger.

Downtown YMCA, 430 S. 20th St. From 1 to 3 p.m., open to members and nonmembers.

Camp Fontanelle, 9677 County Road 3, in Nickerson, Neb. Easter Family Fun Day begins at 2 p.m. There will be three egg hunts, and the day will end with a 5:30 p.m. worship service. Bring your own boiled eggs for dyeing.

Spring Lake Park, 13th and J Streets. Latino Peace Officers Association, 1 to 3 p.m. for children ages 1 to 12. Rain date is April 19. Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, 6099 Western Ave., 2 p.m.

Salvation Army Kroc Center, 2825 Y St. Outdoor hunt will begin at 2 p.m. for children ages 10 and younger on the Festival Plaza. There will also be a Pool Egg Hunt.

Camelot Community Center, 9270 Cady Ave. Camelot Family Easter egg hunt and games, 2 to 4 p.m. The hunt will begin at 3:30 p.m.

Pacific Springs Assembly of God, 17515 Pacific St., 3 to 5 p.m.

Hitchcock Nature Center, Honey Creek, Iowa. “Carrots & Cottontails” activities for 3- to 5-year-olds, 1:30 p.m. $5 per child.

APRIL 17

Mockingbird Hills Pool, 10242 Mockingbird Drive. Underwater egg hunt, 7:30 to 9 p.m. $2 per person.

APRIL 19

Bethel Lutheran Church in Omaha will host its neighborhood Easter egg hunt and party at 1 p.m.

Lauritzen Gardens, 100 Bancroft St. Easter Extravaganza, egg hunts, crafts and pictures with the Easter Bunny, 9 a.m. to noon. Standard admission rates apply, with a $3 fee per child to participate in the egg hunt and crafts. Registration by 5 p.m. April 16 is required, 402-346-4002, ext. 262.

La Vista Sports Complex, 66th and Harrison Streets. City of La Vista, 10 a.m. Cost is a canned food donation for the Tri-City Food Bank. Children younger than 4, Softball Field 2 at 10 a.m.; children 5 to 7, Softball Field 3 at 10:10 a.m.; children 8 to 10, Softball Field 4 at 10:20 a.m.

First Presbyterian Church, 34th and Farnam Streets, 10 a.m. Enter through the 34th Street doors.

Gifford Park, 3528 Davenport St. Gifford Park Neighborhood Association, noon, next to tennis courts.

Northwest Hills Church, 9334 Fort St., 10 a.m.

Dundee Presbyterian Church, 5312 Underwood Ave. Registration begins at 9:15 a.m.; hunt will begin at 10 a.m. rain or shine.

Huntington Park, north and west of 156th and Blondo Streets, Huntington Park Homeowners Association, 10 a.m. at the picnic area north of the park.

Set Free Church, 1014 S. 24th St., 1-4 p.m. Free to the public. In addition to the egg hunt, a tent ministry for adults, bounce houses for kids and free food are planned.

Stone Creek Park, 6220 N. 160th Ave., Stone Creek Homeowners Association, 11 a.m.

StoneBridge Christian Church, 15801 Butler Ave. Eggstravaganza, 11 a.m. to noon.

Stinson Park, Aksarben Village, 67th and Center Streets. Jones Bros. 1 to 3 p.m.

Sarpy County YMCA, 1111 E. First St., Papillion. New Hope Christian Church, 1 to 2 p.m.

Bayliss Park, 530 First Ave., Council Bluffs. Council Bluffs YMCA, 10 a.m.

Bellevue Christian Center, 1400 Harvell Drive, Bellevue. Easter Scramble for children 10 and younger, with egg hunt, games, food, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

APRIL 20

Crows Nest Church Easter Egg hunt at Bellevue’s Washington Park, 20th Street and Franklin Avenue, 6 p.m. Event includes music and a petting zoo.
