Use draft stoppers. Those with balconies in their apartment, this is a great way for that extra layer of protection from the cold outside. These can be found in stores, online, and you can even make them yourself.

Open your curtains during the day. If your apartment is facing the sun, open your curtains and let your apartment gain all of that natural heat from the sun.

Install insulated curtains. Take down your light curtains for winter and exchange them for a material like suede, velvet, tapestry or denim.

Make sure your heat sources aren’t being blocked. this seems obvious but make sure to double check that your furniture isn’t blocking any vents. This can be a major impact in why your apartment isn’t warming up like it should.
