Think Pink! October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

You may have seen quite a bit of pink around during the month of October, even in the NFL.  Why?  Because it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Highclere Apartments would like to remind residents of the Robert Hancock & Co. communities of different ways that you can become involved in the fight for the cure.

Have someone in your family that is a die-hard football fan?  NFL players, coaches and staff are wearing various pink items throughout the month of October.  These items are then auctioned off on-line and 100% of the profits benefit the American Cancer Society.  What a way to support a great cause and score a great holiday gift in the process!

Check out this website for more information:  http://www.nfl.com/pink.

There are also various ways to get involved in the community, whether it’s volunteering, participating in a fundraising event or even getting out for a haircut.  In addition to the general Susan G. Komen website, there are personalized websites for each individual state that shares information about activities going on in your local area.  Via this website, you can also follow a link to the main page which acts as “a one-stop resource for all the latest information on the disease”.
