New Year, New Homes: Start 2022 at Cedar Heights!

At Cedar Heights, we have been lucky to have many of our residents reside with our for a long time, and to favor their time spent here. We appreciate all of our residents, new and old, but do have to admit that it is sad that we do not often have the opportunity to welcome in new residents to our community… That is why we are excited to let those reading know that we have two apartments available in January! Read on for more information on these amazing homes:

 

  • #507 – A spacious two bedroom, two bathroom with walkout patio attached to the master bedroom. This 1200 sq. ft. space boosts a fireplace, dishwasher, refrigerator, stove/range, garbage disposal and in-unit washer/dryer. This apartment offers lease options between 3 and 15 months, with pricing between $1141-$1680.
  • 505 – An extravagant one bedroom + loft, one bathroom with balcony attached to the living room. This large 1240 sq. ft. space contains a fireplace, dishwasher, refrigerator, stove/range and garbage disposal. This apartment offers lease options between 3 and 15 months, with pricing between $1074-$1668.

Tips for Clean and Safe Halls and Balconies

Living in an apartment means that you have to LIVE in the apartment: bring your items in and make the space a home. Often times, this carries over to an attempt to fill other spaces, such as you balcony or patio, and even sometimes your entry door or hallways. We have seen a lot of ways people have made their apartments a home here, and while we absolutely love the personalization and care that everyone puts into it, there are some points in which we have to ask them to hit the brakes. There are rules that allow us to keep the shared spaces clean, safe of clutter, or have other reasons why we enforce them. In an order to re-express these rules, and to enlighten non-residents of possible policies you may have living at other apartments (including Robert Hancock and Co. communities), we decided we would state some many rules for what can and can’t be done on a balcony or shared space.

  • No personal items can be stored in the hallways of our buildings (this is a common policy at almost all communities). This is to avoid any fire or tripping hazards when resident leave and enter the building, and avoids making those spaces look cluttered. You can, however, have a door mat or door decor.
  • While we do have cleaners that clean the common areas of the buildings once a week, that does not mean that trash and debris should be ignored. If you track in dirt, drop garbage, or something of the like, please deal with it the same way that you would in the apartment.
  • Balconies/patios are for patio furniture and plants only. Please make sure that these items are properly tethered down. No trash, bikes or other items are permitted to be stored on balconies.
  • Electric grills are permitted to be stored in the community or on a balcony with complete supervision while in use. Gas and charcoal grills are strictly prohibited (that is a common law at least in the state of Nebraska), and can’t be stored or used anywhere in the community, as they are a dangerous fire risk.
  • No flags/signs can be put up on the balconies/patios/windows of your apartment. All flags will be asked to be removed, as there is no way to avoid having signage or flags that are inappropriate in nature if we allow them in anyway.

These are simple rules and do not give information on the complete guidelines we have, or any other community has. If you ever have questions about what can or can’t be done with a shared space or a balcony/patio, please make sure to contact your property manager or consult your lease/community policies guidelines.

Welcome in Spring 2021 with a New Home – Only two Left Until Summer!

Cedar Heights has been thrilled with the community we have throughout the winter; plenty of residents returning to live with us another year, and some new faces to round out our roster. We are always thankful to be the place that some call home, but like we always say, it has been a little sad to not have as many opportunities for new residents to swoop in and call home. With that said, we have made it a personal mission to try to get the word out as much as possible, and let everyone know if we ever have anything available. Knowing this, we checked what we had coming up, and we were a bit alarmed…

Wow, how did this happen? Easily one of our rarest apartments here, and coming off a new remodel! At Pacific Gardens, we like to think that we’re just a little different from your standard apartment community. Wide open courtyards, vibrant and abundant with trees, flowers and shrubbery. Heck, our apartments are like a mystery box; you never know what surprises are going to be in one of them until you go inside. Who doesn’t like a little quirkiness?

Alas, we are mostly in possession of two and three bedroom apartments over here. This is great for roommates, families and the like, but what about those residents who just need a space for themselves or maybe one other person? Is there a space for someone who doesn’t need that much space?

It is possible that we won’t have one available for quite some time…

Or, it is possible that we will have two coming available in November!

That is just so wonderful. We don’t get the chance to help others find a one bedroom apartment very often, but here we are! Read below to get more information on our couplet of offerings:

Autumn Balcony Decorations!

Hello South Park residents!

Thanks to all of you for cleaning up your balconies, and helping improve the beauty that is South Park Apartments. Because of this we are having a balcony decorating contest!
Winners will receive 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes! And, winners will be chosen by mid November.

Please remember that decorations have to be tasteful and balconies are still not used for storage. Also, decorations in the hallways outside your front door are prohibited unless they are attached to your door or hand railing. Anything set in the hallway or front steps to the building must be removed as it is a fire/tripping hazard.

Let’s get into our Autumn season the right way!
