Pacific Gardens is a beautiful, mature property with a plethera of trees, greenery and flowers. It is not uncommon to see squirrels and rabbits running thourgh the courtyards and playing with each other. The other day, our maintenance team spotted an unusual looking bird. Over the weekend, Dennis was down at a Lincoln museum and came across this same bird in one of the exhibits. It was a Northern Flicker. Apparently they are not that uncommon in North America and are very similar to a woodpecker. So if any of our residents hear the burrowing sounds of a woodpecker, it might just be a Northern Flicker instead. You learn something new everyday!
