Keep Away Those Winter Colds
With the temperatures dropping, winter colds are on the way. Here are some helpful tips and tricks to keep you up and running this winter!
Healthy Diet
- Stock up on your favorite fruits, veggies, and grains. Not a produce lover? Try orange and green juices, filled with lots of beneficial vitamins.
- Try to get at least 8 hours of sleep, it’s your body’s way of healing.
- Exercising regularly is always a good habit to keep you healthy.
Layers and Hydration
- Dress warmly with coats, scarves, hats and gloves. Still cold? Try double socks too!
- Drink plenty of water. Hot teas are good too!
- If your skin is overly dry try a humidifier to add moisture to the air.
Goodbye Germs!
- Wash your hands with soap and water, use hand sanitizer if soap isn’t available.
- Cover your nose and mouth when sneezing or coughing to protect those around you.
- If you are sick, stay home and recover.
Additional Tips
- Consider getting a flu shot or updating vaccines at your local pharmacy.
- Spend time with loved ones and engage in activities you love. The power of love does heal.
- Keep a first aid kit with essentials in your bag or car, to always have it if/when you need it.
- Try to increase your daily intake of sunlight.
