It’s Time to Start Thinking About the Waitlist for Spring Move Ins!

The busiest time of the year for apartment leasing is spring into summer. And, if you are looking to make your move during that time, the waitlist is a great tool to get you the apartment you want!

Here are the steps for the Robert Hancock & Co. waitlist program:

1) Once you’ve selected the RHC property that best meets your needs, hop into the online application portal and select a waitlist unit type. This way, you can complete the application process and be assessed the correct charges ($75 app fee/adult, $150 waitlist deposit).

2) After your application is received, you will be able to complete your waitlist agreement. This is where you get to select the parameters that will determine what availability we offer to you (floor plan, price range, level of the building, etc). Be a little flexible! Make sure your parameters are reasonable for the property you are applying to. A one bedroom on the second or third floor between the 1^st of April and the 15^th of May? Probably reasonable. A top floor apartment facing west between the 7^th and 8^th of June? Probably not so reasonable. The property management team can help you decide what parameters are most important to you and are realistic for potential future apartment availability.

3) Wait patiently!

4) Once options that meet your parameters come up, you will be contacted by management and you will have 24 hours to commit to an apartment. All you will need to secure your choice is the remainder of your deposit (your $150 waitlist deposit is applied to your total!). If for some reason, we aren’t able to find an apartment that meets your needs as specified in the waitlist agreement, the $150 waitlist deposit will be returned to you. If you end up changing your mind entirely, the $150 waitlist deposit is nonrefundable. The maximum length of time to be on the waitlist is 6 months, so keep that in mind when you are planning your application!

5) Move in and enjoy your new home!
