Holiday Shopping Tips
Holiday shopping can be tough, especially when it comes to money. Debt can pile up after years of unorganized holiday gift giving, so it’s good to have a few rules when it comes to the holidays.
Prioritize
- You may feel that you need to get everyone in your life a gift, but when it comes to saving money, you need to choose who really matters. Friends, family, and significant others come first.
Budget
- Come up with a budget that fits your income and stick to it. Money isn’t what matters, it’s the thought you put into it. If you seem to be stuck, go with a DIY gift. I know my mom prefers those anyway. 😉
Start Early
- Try spreading out the shopping over a couple of months, that way the damage to the bank account does not come all at once. It’s easier to do a little bit at a time.
- When it comes to something big, like a tv or stereo, try to shop the Black Friday deals, prices you can’t get any other day.
Overall, it’s not about gifts or money. Holidays are about spending time with your loved ones and enjoying the year you had together. Hugs and quality time are priceless! <3
