Health Benefits of Indoor Plants!

For many apartment dwellers, getting natural sunlight plays a part in their apartment location because they have indoor plants. Taking care of indoor plants is a fun hobby that many people have, as it gives you something to take care of and you can watch it grow! Did you know that they can also benefit your health?

  1. Snake plant. The most prevalent benefit of the snake plant is it can improve your indoor air quality. They do most of their work at night, and turn carbon dioxide into oxygen. Think of it as a natural air filter! They are also relatively easy to take care of. Place them in indirect sunlight, and only water every couple of weeks!
  2. Lavender is a beautiful purple flowering plant that has a pleasant aroma. It’s scent is best know for providing stress-relief and calming for a good night sleep! Lavender can be grown indoors, but is most success grown outdoors. The good news is, you can grow it in a pot on your balcony!
  3. Jade plants. Similar to the snake plant, jade plants help with air purification, but also offers the benefit of increasing the humidity inside your space. They require direct sunlight, but don’t need to be watered very often.
  4. Aloe Vera. This plant has several healing properties! It not only purifies the air, but you can also use it to soothe sunburns! Some people even like to add it to their smoothies. It is happiest in direct sunlight and getting watered every 2-3 weeks.
