Happy Thanksgiving from Shadow Lake Square Apartments in Papillion, Nebraska!

The holidays are always a wonderful time—cooler fall weather, fantastic food, and family. This year, many of us have made drastic changes in the way we will be celebrating—socially distanced, masked, or virtually. This year is certainly one to reflect on all we are thankful for; for everything we have and not what we lack. We wish everyone a safe and meaningful holiday, no matter how you choose to celebrate.

We have wrapped up our Robert Hancock & Co. food drive for this month for Food Bank for the Heartland and have exceeded our goal! We blew past 1,000 items to land at 1,322! Shadow Lake Square Apartments ended with a very generous contribution of 413 items. This will be a definite help to lessen the blow of those who are food insecure in our area.

As we prepare our own food, remember to be careful! Shadow Lake Square has a strict policy of no open flame on our balconies, as referenced in our Community Policies Handbook:

“GRILLS – Electric Grills/Smokers are allowed on apartment patios or balconies.

Any Gas, LP, Charcoal or Wood Grills/Smokers are not allowed to be stored or

operated on your patio, balcony or inside your apartment.”

We certainly would not want any of our beloved residents to become a statistic. We look forward to having a happy, healthy Thanksgiving celebration this year!
