Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall!
September is when we officially say goodbye to summer and hello to fall. Along with that comes some of our favorite activities. If you are worried about being bored this fall, DON’T because there is plenty of fun to go around. Here are some fun activities to kick off your fall of fun!
1. Cider and Sunflower Festival: September 17th – 19th
Valas Pumpkin Patch has a field of sunflowers ready to harvest, and lots of apple cider for kids and adults alike! Tickets are $19.95, but if you already invested in a season pass, those are accepted as well. The festival lasts from 10AM to 8PM. At the festival you can look forward to many photo op-portunities, live butterfly releases, and a menu full of sweet treats!
2. Chalk Art Festival: September 18th – 19th
Midtown Crossing – Turner Park is hosting Omaha’s Third annual Chalk Art Festival where artists will come and turn the sidewalks into works of art at our feet. Come watch the artists work, and stop in for a bite to eat or some shopping at the many restaurants and shops that Midtown has to offer!
3. Watercolor Painting: September 18th
Lauritzen Gardens is hosting a “fundamentals of watercolor” paint class. This class will guide you through setting up the paint and finishing a piece of art! All supplies (and instructor) included for this event. You will need to register for this class using the link or phone number below.

4. Omaha Farmers Market: Saturdays and Sundays
There is still time for you to visit your favorite vendors. The list of vendors grows each week, and so does the variety. Come take a look at all the fresh flowers, fruits, and veggies you could ever want! Remeber, Saturdays are in the old market, and Sundays are at Baxter Arena. You better hurry though because the farmers market’s official last day is October 10th.
