Apartment Tips for the Holidays!
The holidays are around the corner, and you may be doing things like putting up the Christmas tree, buying presents for your loved ones, and planning out your holiday get togethers! Below are some tips for the holidays if you live in an apartment!
- If you live in a smaller floorplan and aren’t sure if you can fit a tree into your space, consider getting a slimmer tree! You can find them just about anywhere, and it will still put you in the holiday mood! If you plan on buying a real tree, just remember to bag it before carrying it through your communal hallway to prevent pine needles from dropping on the floor!
- If you’re hosting a holiday gathering, talk to your property management team about renting the clubhouse. Many apartment communities have a party room that you can reserve. At Pinhook Flats, you can rent the Paddock Room for $75 for parties and gatherings. Be sure to talk to the leasing office sooner rather than later, as reservations can fill up fast!
- During the holidays, you may notice more trash and recycling due to extra packaging from gifts. Many communities offer recycling services for their residents, so make sure you take advantage of it during this time! You may also notice your trash filling up faster, as well. At Pinhook Flats, we have trash chutes on each floor of our buildings for residents to use.
- Be aware of office closings. Call or email your leasing office ahead of time to check and see what their holiday hours are just in case you need anything from them before they close! Also make sure you know what your emergency on-call phone number is in case maintenance issues arise while the office is closed.
