Peony Village Apartments supports 75th Annual Sarpy County Fair!
Springfield, NE, just a short drive from Omaha, is the host to the annual Sarpy County Fair of Nebraska. This year marks its 75th anniversary, and there are many activities planned if you are looking for some fun this weekend.
The 2011 Sarpy County Fair opened on Wednesday, August 3rd, and runs through this Sunday, August 7th. There are many displays throughout the grounds and buildings, as well as livestock shows, truck and tractor pulls, rodeos, parades, contests, carnival rides…you name it!
There are all sorts of fun activities for kids and adults alike. If your child likes to engage in some competition, they can try their luck at some good ‘ole Mutton Bustin or chase after a pet in the Animal Scramble! Adults can try their luck too in the Soaped Pig Contest or take a ride on the mechanical bull. There will also be bands playing in the beer garden Thursday through Saturday night.
As a Springfield native, Peony Village Apartments Manager, Kelly Gibbs, says “The Sarpy County Fair is a long time tradition. I plan on going every year.”
